The ECU Genius
The ECU Repairs Genius is a generic test rig which can be configured to test virtually any type of automotive ECU (Engine Control Unit) by means of a dedicated test harness and load box for the specific type of ECU under test.
The rig is controlled by means of a graphical interface on a computer, connected by means of a serial data link. Tests can be performed manually using the controls on the graphical interface, or automatically, using test scripts. In addition to the generic graphical interface, which controls all functions of the ECU Genius.
Individual interfaces may be used which are dedicated to individual ECU types. Load boxes, test harnesses and test scripts for specific ECU types are available from Blue Hawk Electronics or may be developed by the customer.
