Blue Hawk DPF Removals

DPF Removal. Since the introduction of the DPF filter to mainstream diesel vehicles many clients come to us with either DPF faults or blocked filters. With the development of new software we can simply remove all DPF filter traces within the ECU as to allow the vehicle to work as if the DPF was in place.

D.P.F. (Diesel Particulate Filter) is a filter fiitted to the exhaust system that is very similar to a catalytic converter in looks. It is designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot, and the objective is to produce cleaner exhaust gases. However, as many people will agree, they often cause a lot more trouble than they actually do good.

It is also worth mentioning that, it is not currently a legal requirement that a diesel vehicle be fitted with a D.P.F. nor is one needed to pass the yearly M.O.T.

In most cases DPF removal is possible by removing the D.P.F. housing from the exhaust system and replace it with a straight through pipe to re-complete the exhaust system. In other cases the housing will be removed, the filter parts inside the housing taken out and the housing then re-fitted to the vehicle. To complete the procedure, specialist computer equipment is plugged into the vehicle’s E.C.U. for some final adjustments.

All immobiliser and chassis information is safely retained with all our procedures.

There are many benefits of a DPF removal from your vehicle, including more horse power, quicker throttle response and lower fuel consumption. It also creates peace of mind having eliminated the high cost of replacing the unit when its life has expired, not to mention the problems and other repair costs keeping a D.P.F. on a vehicle can bring.
